What is this other Self?
Imagine that you, energetically, are structured like a battery, where your conscious mind is in the middle and you have two polarized ends: the negative is the Basic Self (subconscious) and the positive is the High Self (superconscious).
You may have heard about your “inner child”, the hidden child inside of you, playful, sensitive, joyful, and open to others. But it’s also the seat of your animal instinct, which wants for itself, is impulsive, and self-centered. This part of you is all about memory, habits, and emotions, and it becomes fixated on its own habits and patterns, which it will feel driven to complete. It values comfort and does not seek growth or change. If you battle it, you will not win.
What Counseling Offers
For spiritual progression, it is critical to move into responsible cooperation with the Basic Self. This counseling develops your awareness of and connection to your Basic (Lower) Self. Only then it becomes possible to deal with the subconscious beliefs it holds, including individual and group karma, childhood trauma, sexual trauma, and deeply held emotional imbalances that bind you.
If you have felt stuck with conventional therapy methods, give yourself the priceless gift of reintegration with your Basic Self, essential for self-healing.
